چکیده
The main objective of the current work is to determine meshless methods using radial basis function (rbf) approach estimate elastic strain field from energy-resolved neutron imaging. To this end, we first discretize longitudinal ray transformation with rbf give us an unconstrained optimization problem. This discretization then transformed into a constrained problem by adding equilibrium conditions ensure uniqueness. efficiency and accuracy are investigated for situation 2d plane stress. In addition, comparisons made between results obtained collocation, finite-element (fem) analytical solution test problems. method applied experimentally measured continuous discontinuous fields steel samples offset ring-and-plug crushed ring, respectively.

Investigation of dissimilar metal welds by energy-resolved neutron imaging
A nondestructive study of the internal structure and compositional gradient of dissimilar metal-alloy welds through energy-resolved neutron imaging is described in this paper. The ability of neutrons to penetrate thick metal objects (up to several cm) provides a unique possibility to examine samples which are opaque to other conventional techniques. The presence of Bragg edges in the measured n...
متن کاملStable Gaussian radial basis function method for solving Helmholtz equations
Radial basis functions (RBFs) are a powerful tool for approximating the solution of high-dimensional problems. They are often referred to as a meshfree method and can be spectrally accurate. In this paper, we analyze a new stable method for evaluating Gaussian radial basis function interpolants based on the eigenfunction expansion. We develop our approach in two-dimensional spaces for so...
متن کاملDetectors for Energy-Resolved Fast Neutron Imaging
Two detectors for energy-resolved fast-neutron imaging in pulsed broad-energy neutron beams are presented. The first one is a neutron-counting detector based on a solid neutron converter coupled to a gaseous electron multiplier (GEM). The second is an integrating imaging technique, based on a scintillator for neutron conversion and an optical imaging system with fast framing capability.
متن کاملCollocation Method using Compactly Supported Radial Basis Function for Solving Volterra's Population Model
In this paper, indirect collocation approach based on compactly supported radial basis function (CSRBF) is applied for solving Volterra's population model. The method reduces the solution of this problem to the solution of a system of algebraic equations. Volterra's model is a non-linear integro-differential equation where the integral term represents the effect of toxin. To solve the pr...
متن کاملSpace-time radial basis function collocation method for one-dimensional advection-diffusion problem
The parabolic partial differential equation arises in many application of technologies. In this paper, we propose an approximate method for solution of the heat and advection-diffusion equations using Laguerre-Gaussians radial basis functions (LG-RBFs). The results of numerical experiments are compared with the other radial basis functions and the results of other schemes to confirm the validit...
